Paxton Picks Coloring Contest Winner
Congrats to Haley, I will be calling soon for you to claim your autographed copy of my book! Paxton and Mali Find Their Boat. Thank you to everyone who participated. If anyone wants to purchase a copy I will honor the $7 Kid's Fest price and still give a donation to the SEE GRACIE RUN FUND!
Coloring Contest
What a fun day! Paladin Sports Outreach program Kid's Fest Free Saturday was a BLAST! There were lots of kids who visited my booth and colored to win a free copy of my book. I can't wait to announce the winner and give them an autographed copy for their book collection. My 3 year old son Paxton will be the judge of the coloring contest to make it fair for all ages. It is random because it is just who he picks. Unfortunately he was sick over the weekend so I hope we are able to pick a winner later today. For now here are some great pictures from the event!

First, biggest, most
There is something exciting about going fishing with the "boys" and coming out catching as a girl the first, biggest and most fish of the trip. Granted I only caught 3 but somehow that is what made my day! It takes me back to my childhood where my Papa and I would bet with my mom and dad who could catch the first and biggest- 25 or 50 cents is what we bet, and he always paid me but never took my money! It has been 20 years since my Papa passed away, but somehow I can still feel his presence, see his smile and warmth when I close my eyes and go back to those "good ole" fishing days!
